New item! RHD dash for S15. Creation procces!
The process of creating a carbon fiber panel: from printing small components to the finished carbon product with satin coat.
Silvia S15 RHD
Typically, we use CNC machining to create master models from wood, but in this case, we decided to take a different approach. In some respects, this is simpler; in others, it’s more complex.
We develop a 3D model based on the requirements for motorsport vehicles, 3D-print the individual components, and assemble them like a puzzle.
Once assembled, we prime the entire piece and refine all the surfaces.
Next, we attach the flanges and parting plates. We then begin creating the mold: a green gel coat—which will serve as the inner surface of the finished mold—is applied, followed by layers of fiberglass saturated with resin to reinforce the structure.
We then disassemble the mold and prepare it for the production of the carbon-fiber part by refining all surfaces and applying release agents. Finally, we proceed with the vacuum infusion process for the carbon fiber.
